Board of Directors
André Forest
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Forest is presently President of Gestion-Conseil André Forest and a
director of corporations. He is also a member of the Investment Committee at
Desjardins Venture Capital L.P. and is also with Réseau Anges Québec.
Previously, he was the founder of Acquizition.biz, a business he has sold to
Transcontinental Media G.P. Mr. Forest has extensive experience as an
administrator and business manager in the interactive media and information
technology industry. He was also appointed to the Board of directors of
Netgraphe Inc. from February 2003 to September 2004, and of private
companies. From 1994 to 2001, he was President of Neosim Inc., a consulting
business in information technology, a company which he founded and that
later became Jobboom
Inc. and then, sold to Netgraphe Inc. Mr. Forest holds a degree in
engineering from École Polytechnic de Montréal. He is a member of Ordre des
ingénieurs du Québec.
Meredith E. Amdur
Meredith Amdur is currently head of Strategy/Strategic Planning for
Microsoft Corporation's Entertainment & Devices division, a portfolio of
businesses of approximately $8 billion that includes Xbox, Windows Mobile,
PC Hardware, Windows Embedded Software and MSTV. Amdur joined Microsoft in
2007 as director of Strategy for the Xbox business. Previously she was a
management consultant with Deloitte Consulting LLP out of New York, managing
a range of strategy development, financial and operations improvement
projects for client companies in the media, publishing, telecommunications
and Internet space globally. She also served as director of the Media &
Content practice for Paris-based satellite industry consultancy, Vista
Advisers, providing international strategic planning and market appraisal
and valuation services.
Prior to her career in corporate strategy and planning, Amdur spent 15 years
in business information publishing in both the U.S. and Europe, serving as
the New York bureau chief of industry trade publication VARIETY magazine and
before that as Editorial Director and EVP of Informa Telecoms & Media
(founded as Baskerville Communications Corporation). There, she ran London,
UK editorial operations and was responsible for launching a range of print
and online financial publications and databases covering the media and
telecoms segments in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
Amdur holds an MBA from Cornell University, an MSc from the London School of
Economics and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Tim Baskerville
Mr. Baskerville is a principal of Media Service Group, a consultancy serving
companies in the media, technology, and telecommunications sectors. He has
served in a leadership capacity for a variety of business information
companies: Chief Executive Officer of JupiterResearch (New York), President
of Kagan Research (Monterey, Calif.), Founder of Baskerville Communications
Corp. (London, UK), President of Vidmar Communications (Hollywood, Calif.),
and Executive Vice President of International Media Publishing, L.P.
(London). He began his career in broadcast journalism (CBS, Cox
Broadcasting) after receiving a B.A. in theatre arts from the University of
California, Los Angeles. Most of his clients have been either companies
built on the distribution of intellectual property, or private equity
investors in providers of business information. He is a chapter founder of
the Specialized Information Publishers Association, and a past Vice
President and board member of the Music and Entertainment Industry Educators
Association.
Jean Énault
Mr. Énault has been President, since 2001, of Triod inc., a private business
management and finance consulting corporation. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Énault
was Vice-President of Finance and Vice-President of Operations at Nurun Inc., a public
subsidiary company of Quebecor Média Inc. Mr. Énault has a degree in
accounting from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and he is a member of
Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec.
Guy Girard
Mr. Girard holds a finance degree (obtained in 1985) and a master's degree
in finance from Université Laval (obtained in 1992). From 1985 to 1998, Mr.
Girard worked as a representative, director and Vice-President for various
Canadian securities firms. In 1998, Mr. Girard co-founded Avensys Corporation Inc. and was its
Vice-President of Finance until August 2003. During this period, while being
responsible for the financial operations of Avensys Corporation Inc. and of
its five subsidiaries, Mr. Girard realized many acquisitions and financing
transactions and organized the sale of the company to a U.S. based entity.
From 2003 to 2004, Mr. Girard was President of Cogivar Corporation and Vice-
President of Pamérica Corporation, two capital pool companies which have
completed their qualifying transactions in order to qualify under the TSX
Venture Exchange regulations. Mr. Girard is presently a partner of Sugarhill
Capital, a merger and acquisition consulting firm and member of many audit
and compensation committees of public companies. He has been also Vice-
President of Finance and director of Jourdan Resources Inc. since June 14,
2006 a company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Finally, Mr. Girard was
director and officer of Uragold Bay Resources Inc. (formerly Uranium Bay
Resources Inc.) from June 2007 to July 2009, director of Kree Tech
International Corporation from April 2004 to March 2008 and director of Glen
Eagle Resources Inc. from March 2006 to November 2006, all corporations
listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Bruce Murray
Bruce Murray was co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Corzen, Inc., a
business intelligence firm serving the media industry, which Wanted acquired
in 2007. Prior to founding Corzen in 2002, Mr. Murray was Vice President of
Sales and Marketing at Zip2, an Internet software company serving the media
industry in the United States, Canada and Europe. Zip2 was acquired by
Compaq Computer in 1999. Prior to Zip2, Mr. Murray served in several
executive management roles with Times Mirror, a publicly-traded US media
company with substantial newspaper holdings He is a 1979 graduate of Yale
University.
